The Graduate Certificate (M52), Graduate Diploma (M48) and Master of Palliative Care (M47) seeks to equip health practitioners with the skills and knowledge that improves the quality of life of patients facing life-threatening illnesses and their significant others. This is achieved through the consideration of the whole person including physical, psychosocial and spiritual aspects of care and attention to the prevention and relief of suffering.

What Qualifications Are Required For Admission?

  • A recognised university qualification in medicine, nursing or a relevant health discipline.
  • The status of overseas medical qualifications will be referred to the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition if any doubt exists about suitability.
  • Applications will be expected to be proficient in English and evidence of this will be sought if the applicant’s undergraduate medical degree was taught in a language other than English.
