The Certificate (S65), Diploma (S50) and Master of Occupational Medicine, Health and Safety (I35) has been developed for medical practitioners and nurses seeking to extend their knowledge in the field of occupational medicine, health and safety. The course is structured around the concept of prevention of occupational injury and disease, while emphasis is placed on the multidisciplinary nature of the field.

What Qualifications Are Required For Admission?

  • For the Masters course, applicants require a recognised university qualification in medicine.
  • For the Diploma or certificate, applicants require a recognised qualification in medicine and/or nursing.
  • The status of overseas medical qualifications will be referred to the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition if any doubt exists about suitability.
  • Applications will be expected to be proficient in English and evidence of this will be sought if the applicant’s undergraduate medical degree was taught in a language other than English.
