The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) prepares students for comprehensive registration in Division One with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia. The course includes units such as Foundations of Nursing: Social, Indigenous and Cultural Perspectives within Nursing and Health, Advancing Nursing Competencies and Professional Issues in Nursing. What Qualifications Are Required for Admission?
- Standard admission requirements plus satisfactory performance in a Year 12 Science subject is desirable.
- Registered Mental Health Nurses will be considered for direct admission in the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) and are eligible for advanced standing.
- Applicants in possession of enrolled nurse status will be considered for direct admission into the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) course if sufficient places are available and are eligible for advanced standing.
- Computer literacy, including word processing skills; Federal Police Clearance; Working with Children Check; CPR and manual handling competence, and vaccination schedule as per the Health Department are essential requirements.

Course Location/Mode of Study
The course is available by full-time or part-time study on Joondalup campus and at the South West campus (Bunbury). Online units are available to Registered Mental Health Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
