The Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery prepares competent, confident, beginning midwife practitioners for the challenge of contemporary midwifery practice. Graduates meet the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Competency Standards for the Midwife and the requirements for registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia as a midwife.

What Qualifications do I Require For Admission?

  • A Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or its equivalent is required for admission. Applicants who do not meet this criterion may be admitted to the course following the submission of a professional portfolio.
  • Applicants must be eligible for registration as a nurse with the Nurses and Widwives Board of WA.
